Let the voting commence!

Firstly, thanks to all those who nominated projects for The Conch this year, we were delighted to have such an overwhelming response.
All eligible nominations can now be found on the website so time to get voting!
Every individual gets to vote for one project or person per category and you can even vote for yourself. So make sure you let all your staff about it so they can vote too.

Voting will close on July 24th 2009

Tickets go on sale as of July 7th. Last year we sold out so make sure you get in their early! All the details on how and where to vote can be found here

Soho Shorts – Festival programme now available


The eagerly anticipated Soho Shorts Festival is just a couple of weeks away commencing on the 22nd July and running through until Friday 31st July. 140 new films representing 18 countries will be competing in 8 competition categories including Sadie Frost’s Directorial Debut, Danny Boyles End Credit Sequence for Slumdog Millionaire. The festival has grown dramatically since it began 11 years ago and is renowned for championing emerging talent and the leading showcase of the short film genre both nationally and internationally. To find out what 2009 has in store you can now get hold of the online magazine which includes schedules for the whole event and how to get hold of your tickets.

Crossrail – Do you need a noise survey?

BBC's team 'Charlotte's Webb' wins UK Screen's Pub Quiz

Once again, it was a fantastic night at The Slug and Lettuce - Quiz Master Dave Messenger did a fine job on the quiz running a good mix of interesting rounds including music rounds, 'Franglais' and a great picture round of 'Mixed Films'.
